E! News and Live! with Kelly announce new co-hosts

4 Sep

It’s a great day to be a black man from the south in media.

One year after long-time Live! Host Regis Philbin left the show, Kelly Ripa appeared with her new host, former NFL star Michael Strahan.

For the past year Ripa has had several guest co-hosts, and lead viewers to believe either Andersen Cooper or Ryan Seacrest would take Regis’ seat.

While Seacrest did not take the position at Live! due to an already hectic schedule, he has managed to free up some time by replacing himself on E! News with former 106th and Park co-host Terrence J.

Starting November 12th, the Think Like a Man co-star will sit next to Giuliana Rancic as the new co-host.

Terrence J said in a statement on E!Online:

“I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that E! News covers so well; I can’t wait to get started. I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building toward this.”

The search still continues for a male and female host to replace Terrence J and his former co-host Rocsi Diaz on BET’s 106th and Park.

Congratulations to you both!
