Seth Meyers will takeover as host of Late Night in February

Meyers, who currently serves as Saturday Night Live‘s head writer and anchor of the popular SNL segment “Weekend Update” will take over the talk show in February when Jimmy Fallon, also an SNL veteran, transitions to Tonight following Jay Leno‘s departure.

Late Night premiered in 1982, and Meyers will be the show’s fourth host, following David Letterman, and SNL alums Conan O’Brien and Fallon. The show will air from NBC’s Rockefeller Plaza in New York, along with NBC’s other two top late-night franchises Tonight and SNL.
