Saks Fifth Avenue and Look Good Feel Better have teamed up to bring back Beauty Editors Day!

After the success of last year’s inaugural event, Saks Fifth Avenue will host Look Good Feel Better’s Beauty Editors Day on Thursday August 1 from 12-7pm.

Thirty-one top beauty editors will host readers at the counters of 31 prestigious beauty brands for one-on-one beauty advice. Each editor sit-down will last 20 minutes, and be followed by a makeup application, skincare or fragrance consultation at her partner beauty counter. An added bonus – every participant will receive a free (full-sized) gift! Participating magazines include Cosmopolitan, Essence, Vogue, Fitness, and Vanity Fair. Among the beauty counters participating are Clinique, Jo Malone, Dior, Clarisonic and Lancôme.

Appointments cost $30.00 and all proceeds go directly to Look Good Feel Better, a program that helps cancer patients to cope with the outward side effects of treatment.

GoogaMooga’s 2013 food lineup includes 85 restaurants  serving everything from duck sausage to Guinness stout brownies. Participating restaurants include Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, Calexico, DBGB Kitchen and Bar, Eataly, LA NewYorkina,  Max Brenner Chocolate Bar, Melt Bakery, Pok Pok Phat Thai, Red Hook Lobster Pound, and more. The wine tasting tent features over 100 wines from around the world, presented by 30+ Winemakers, Importers, and Sommeliers who will be on hand to expertly guide you through the weekend of wine tasting. Crossing Brooklyn Ferry is a three-day music and film festival curated by Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner of The National.  This genre-spanning event  features bands, singer-songwriters, improvisers, composers, new music ensembles, and filmmakers from all corners of the New York City music scene.

Crossing Brooklyn Ferry takes place in the various spaces of BAM’s Peter Jay Sharp Building. Offerings include headliner acts each night (The Roots April 25, Solange Knowles April 26, and TV on the Radio April 27) at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, intimate music performances at BAMcafé, screenings of commissioned short films with original scores at BAM Rose Cinemas, and a late-night dance party on Saturday night.

Tickets for the entire festival are $120 or for a one day pass, $50. Ticket prices include admission to all performances and film screenings for that day.
